Renata Silveira, MSAOM, L.Ac. is an acupuncturist and herbalist specializing in mind and body health, including hormonal disorders, women’s health, and pain management. Renata discovered healing and optimal health for herself through Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine after her medical doctors were unsuccessful in treating her symptoms for an autoimmune condition called Graves’ Disease. She suffered from chronic fatigue, depression, hair loss, weight gain, sleeping difficulties and more. Despite extensive treatments to resolve her condition, she ended up with surgery to completely remove her thyroid. This experience was the beginning of her journey, and second career, to become not only a self-healer, but a caring and empathetic practitioner to help others also struggling with their health.

Renata holds a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a licensed Acupuncturist in Colorado, and nationally certified by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine).

Born and raised in San Paulo, Brazil, her native tongue is Portuguese. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Urban Design Renata moved to the USA when a job opportunity at a prestigious architecture firm in Washington D.C. presented itself. Once living and working here, she taught herself English. Renata can also communicate, although not perfectly, with Spanish speaking patients. This brings a wonderful multi-lingual skill to her practice.

With an Architect’s mathematical brain and sense of balance in structural design, along with her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, she sees the human body with a different eye and allows for a true holistic approach. She takes pride in being a careful listener, using a gentle touch needling technique, providing a relaxing treatment, and sharing all she knows to uniquely help each patient.

In her spare time Renata enjoys adventuring in nature with her husband Rodrigo, two daughters Olivia and Isabella, and two dogs Max and Rudy. They love snow sports, camping, and simply exploring nature’s little gifts along their hikes. They also love to travel the world to see beautiful places and learn about other cultures and cuisines.

I’d love to hear from you! Renata@CHAfrisco.com
