Dr. John is a Bailey, Colorado native. He and his wife Sarah have lived in Summit County since 2005. Sarah runs the office, allowing John to concentrate solely on patient care. When stopping in you might meet one of their dogs … Moose, Andre, and Wolfe. In November of 2005 we purchased Chiropractic Health and Acupuncture, over the years we have built a practice we are truly proud to call our own!
One of Dr. John’s most satisfying accomplishments was a trip to Bolivia in October of 2004. There he participated in a chiropractic clinic which saw over 6,000 underprivileged patients in just two weeks! “It was inspiring to witness chiropractic miracles every day. Helping people is my true passion,” said Dr. John. “It’s amazing what people will live with everyday, I’m pumped to get the message out there! Hey, you can feel great all the time, don’t settle for ‘normal’ aches and issues.”
After high school, Dr. John served in the Gulf War as a Nuclear Submarine Engineer and returned as an employee of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado. There he worked for 10 years, until a devastating car accident put his life on hold.
“I was told I needed surgery, was given lots of pills with nasty side effects. As a personal trainer for over 13 years, I was in the best of shape and thought I would bounce back quickly. Sadly after a year I had become frail and depressed, with no hope of being pain-free. This is when I discovered chiropractic. At the end of one month under chiropractic care I was able to feel a difference. I was beginning to live life, I actually played a game of basketball.
Soon a career change was in order. My wife and I moved to Davenport, Iowa where I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, the ‘Harvard’ of chiropractic schools. Yes, my journey back to good health was that inspiring to me, and today I feel honored to serve as a Doctor of Chiropractic.”
Dr. John is certified in numerous Chiropractic techniques including Webster, Activator, Cranial, Flexion/distraction, Diversified, SOT, and Thompson Techniques. He is the only Chiropractor within 50 miles who has a CACCP specialty in Pre-natal & Pediatrics, as well as an Advanced Activator Certification. He is also a certified acupuncturist.
His passions in life are rafting, basketball, snow boarding, weight lifting, car mechanics, hunting, world travel, good food, and good drink! I love chatting with patients to learn about them, as well as with them. I always have nearby an educational book, my thirst for knowledge about the body, health, and the latest practitioner techniques never wanes.
I’d love to hear from you! DrJohn@CHAfrisco.com
